Hello!

I’ve been celebrating my birthday this weekend!

I love the photo above. Someone from the South, deep South, sent this to me on Facebook and another friend from New York captioned it, ‘A Swamp County, Louisiana Birthday cake!!! — my thoughts exactly and I love it!

I am proud to say that 1/2 of me is full blooded Norwegian Viking, and the other 1/2 is a Southern as one could get.

During this new birthday year, I always take the time to evaluate this previous birthday year. It was a hell of a year for sure. Lot’s of good couple with A LOT of life. Having the opportunity to choose to take care of my mom during the final stages of dementia was maddening, mind blowing and at the end of the day deeply rewarding internally. I had to put some of my projects on hold, now that all is said and done – I am really proud of myself. I didn’t quit. Lord knows, I wanted to! One of the most difficult things I have had to deal with. I learned so much about myself and what’s really important to me.

One of the messages I received from my environment as a kid growing up was that I was selfish if I went for my own dreams and did not take care of members of my family.

I was told by my paternal grandmother when deciding to move to New York in the middle of college “Don’t leave your father. I will send you to Paris to study for a year but, don’t leave your father.” Meaning I was to come back after my stint in Paris and continue to run things for him. Although very tempting at the time, as I always wanted to go to Paris for a year and become fluent in French — something inside of me said, “No Way.”

Thank God, I had the guts? Where with all? Rebelliousness? Inner guidance and strength? Or was it just plain stubborn Vikingness (that I get from my mom’s side of the family)? To get the hell out of dodge and move to The Big Apple — In hindsight, it saved my life.

Some thoughts I would like to share with you. I hope it helps in your pursuing and staying focused on that internally knocking coming from your soul of an Intuitive Goal™ that has yet to be accomplished. That ‘knocking” from the inside out, won’t go away, until it is addressed. This I can promise you.

Also too, I am working with a web-site developer in creating a new web-site. Included in the site I will be offering tips and thoughts on business and intuition. I will send out a Monkey Survey to learn more about what would you like to learn right now and what is most important to you such as;

1) What’s got you stuck?
2) How to identify how your intuition is guiding you?
3) How to begin to identify your career path?
4) What are the distractions that prevent you from hearing your inside self?
5) What to do to begin to heal those distractions etc.

You may come up with some other subjects that I may be able to help you with. Please feel free to email them to me. Thank you.

In the meantime…

First, I really get that there is no time to be afraid. Time and Life go so fast. Ask yourself:

What would you like to do before the year is up but, have been too afraid to take the risk and jump in and go for it?!

Second, If there are things that you would love to do in your life, you need to go ahead and step into the experience ‘as if’ it is already happening now. You need to be the you of that experience now. The Universe will and does find a way for your dreams to come to fruition. But, sometimes you need to ‘act as if’ first.

What experience can you step into as if it has already happened? Who is the you of that experience? Write it down. Imagine and feel it.

Third, I love my clients. I’ve been so incredibly blessed to work with the most amazing people in my workshops and individually. Thank you for allowing me to have a glimpse into your life! And thank you for all the hard work in the workshops that you’ve done…the book is in process, and the workshop will be available to everyone soon!

Fourth, if there is a desire that you have that is still unfulfilled, and you still feel it knocking on your soul, it is meant to come to fruition. You still must go for it, even if you feel, it is too late, you’ve missed the boat, you don’t know enough, etc.

You will know if there is an experience that has yet to come to fruition by the amount of distractions you’ve had in your life this past year.

The more the distractions…the bigger the experience that is pounding on you to come out. What is it that needs to come leaping out and be experienced now? Are you willing to get the ball rolling before the end of the year?

Fifth, because of that ‘knocking’ in your soul it is pushing you to heal whatever you need to heal and step into the full expression of you. Love yourself more than any distraction..i.e. relationships that are not supportive, being in isolation, financial worries, putting someone else’s dreams or ambitions before your own, etc.

Ask yourself: Is this in my best interest or am I taking care of someone else first?

Sixth, thank your soul for ‘the knocking.’ It is pulling you into the new you. Imagine pulling yourself into your future self and experiencing that future you now — something to ponder!

Write down who the future you is… for example, if you wanted to be a Newscaster, write down exactly who you are as a Newscaster…What do you wear? What are you speaking about?, Who, what and where are you surrounded by? Be that person for a day. Speak, act, think and take action as that person.

Seventh, fully express yourself, verbally and emotionally — learn to be more vulnerable and authentic. This tells the Universe what you want in your life. Speaking your truth is for you. It instructs the ethers in the cosmos and brings you your highest good. If you are hiding, in any way, this gets reflected back to you in your world somehow — something gets hidden.

Eighth, EVERYONE, you come in contact with is there for you to see yourself. Somehow, they are giving you the opportunity to experience you, who you are or to bring you an experience to evolve your soul.

Ask yourself: Who has shown you who you are this year? What did they reflect back to you? Is this who you want to be? Let the experience evolve you and help you get clear on who you want to be.

Ninth, EVERY experience you have, you have called it forth somehow. You’ve brought it into your life. The great and the not so great.

Write down an experience that you loved. Write down an experience that you would have rather not have had.

Know that you called both experiences to you.

Ask yourself: What is my opportunity for growth here?

Tenth, If you don’t ‘feel’ great, If you feel ‘off’ — you need to get back on track. Either by, journaling, looking at who your hanging out with or asking yourself: Is there an action that I need to take that I have not taken yet?

Eleven, LOVE. Fully, love yourself and others. We are all connected.

Twelfth, every seeming obstacle is an opportunity for growth. There is always a silver lining. Obstacles are what your see when you are not full heartedly FOCUSED on your goal.

Finally, LIVE. Live now. Do whatever it takes to fully experience the richness of who you are.

Ask yourself: What would the richness of who you are smell like, sound like, look like, think like, talk like, act like? Write it down.

Monique

THANK YOUR SOUL FOR THE ‘KNOCKING’… IT IS PULLING YOU INTO THE NEW YOU!
