With Monique’s achievements in the Entertainment Industry and her business, she has married the two by starting her production company. Her first project is a documentary that she directed, filmed, produced, etc. (while traveling with her two dogs) across the nation titled ‘6,150’. While filming she caught the attention of media across the country including NBC News. The theme of the documentary later transformed into The Business Symposium at the Conscious Life Expo, which Monique created, directed and interviewed very successful world-renowned individuals, such as Dr. John Gray who wrote Men Are From Mars Woman Are From Venus, that had over major obstacles to achieving success. The theme once again transformed into one of the top weekly shows, on an internet network titled “Conversations with Monique Guild.” To view footage and learn more visit TV page and go to https://www.youtube.com/user/MoniqueGuild to subscribe.
Born in Jackson Mississippi, and raised in a colorful New Orleans environment, by her psychiatrist father and a mother who is a Norwegian actress (who happens to speak six languages and socialized with the likes of Tennessee Williams, father was knighted by the King of Norway – Sir Victor Borg, mother was the world-renown coloratura soprano Ingeborg Cook and is the sixth great grand-daughter of Capt. James Cook); Monique quickly learned how to use her instincts and survive in an environment for the not-faint-at-heart.
Ever since Monique was a child, she has had an uncanny ability to “see” through difficult personal situations, & share those insights with others for their personal development. Her ability to use her natural intuitive skill and to overcome obstacles in her life helped her seek people who could guide her in life and achieve success.
She was a creative child who left home at 17 to pursue college. After a couple of years, she left college behind, her social life, and her job with a law firm to move to New York and pursue acting. After studying with some incredible teachers, she then continued to Los Angeles, where her acting career continued. It was in Los Angeles that her business career took off as well.
Prime Time, In No Time
She decided, to go behind the camera and took a position as a receptionist at Showtime Networks where she quickly advanced to Assistant Marketing Coordinator, in charge of 130 cable affiliates across the United States. Soon after, she was hired by Great Expectations as their National Director of Success Stories. It was there that she excelled in applying her gift with an on-target placement of people in media events and television shows nationwide, including the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her work caught the attention of The Los Angeles Times and was featured on the cover of the Metro Section.
During this time, Monique was hired by Scott Zakarin to play the role of Joanne in the first Interactive Soap Opera titled The Spot. She also starred in numerous independent films.
Monique’s nationwide accomplishments soon caught the eye of MacLaine Enterprises. Hired as one of the key liaison for Shirley MacLaine, her agent, publicist, books, shows, and movies. After a one-year stint, Monique accepted a position with Film and TV Director Mark Travis, the creator of the film “A Bronx Tale.” It was Travis who said; “Monique, you have an amazing gift and ability to ‘see’ and zero in or people and their businesses, you have to take this to the next level.”
In “Conversations with Monique Guild,” Monique interviews world-renowned people that have overcome enormous obstacles and achieved massive success. Guests have ranged from Dr. John Gray, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Anne-Marie Bennstom, who founded the Ashram to Ramy El-Batrawi, a man who went from living in a car to being Adnan Khashoggi’s right-hand person.
Monique’s book launch is fall of 2017. She is also, currently in development for a television series based on her work and establishing the Monique Guild Institute.
